Glenn Cucinell, President of C Solar, began his renewable quest out of necessity. A little over 5 years ago he began constructing a small cabin on a vacant lot of land in the Catskills. The land was a totally isolated piece of property with no utility lines for many miles. While building the cabin with a small gas powered generator, burning fuel at a record rate and requiring frequent trips to a gas station approximately 15 miles away. The distance wasn’t the tough part it was navigating a 3 miles stretch of road that might have been considered a logging trail back in 1900’s. Solar was the only solution in order to keep working and avoid constantly purchasing gas. The use of Solar caught on quickly with several other lot owners. Two years later after installing several Off-Grid homes C Solar opened its doors September 2006 and has since installed approximately 300kW of Solar Electricity.

Glenn graduated Trinity College Hartford, CT in 1998 with a BA Architecture and Design. As President and (CEO) one of his goals is to educate and deliver renewable energy to families and business who desire a sustainable way of life without harming the environment for our children or future generations.

Rob Lyle graduated with a B.A. in History in 1999 from Brown University. Rob currently resides in Darien, CT. Prior to C Solar, he worked on the internal sales desk at Legg Mason for 2 years as well as SCG Capital, a leasing company, as a regional manager for 2 years. Rob oversees the company’s accounting function and manages all non-revenue aspects of the business.

Erik Anderson is a native of Norwalk CT who earned a B.S. in Conservation Biology from the University of Rhode Island. Erik has worked for the CT DEP and got his start in the renewable field as a Photovoltaic system installer over 2 years ago.

Aaron has been working in the solar industry for the past three years and has a bachelors degree in enviornmental studies from Green Mountain College. Aaron holds a PV license with the state of Connecticut, is OSHA 30 certified, and has been trained by some of the best companies in the US. Aaron has lived in a tipi for over five years totally off the grid. His only source of power was a 45 watt solar panel, 12 volt battery and 500 watt inverter.

Nate Roumanis is a Hamden CT native who recently graduated from the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Vermont in May of 2008. He received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and has been pursuing experience and knowledge in the renewable energy industries. Nate got started with solar when he joined the C Solar team in June of 2009. Since then he has been helping with installs and drafting electrical and mechanical designs.

Patrick Kelly is a Waterbury, CT native who graduated in 2001 from W.F. Kaynor Regional Vocational Technical Highschool in Electrical Trade Studies and currently a Connecticut Licensed E-1. Background experience includes a wide range of electrical applications from basic residential wiring to industrial automation controls.
